Moderation, Reporting and Appeals

Independent review decisions with human oversight, reasons and a right to challenge outcomes.

Independence

Merchants cannot directly edit, hide or delete customer reviews. They may reply and submit a report, but Euro.Reviews makes the moderation decision independently under published rules. Payment for a plan does not influence the outcome.

A review normally remains public while a report is assessed. A temporary visibility restriction may be applied where necessary to limit apparently illegal content, credible threats, exposed sensitive data or similarly serious harm.

Grounds for a report

  • The content appears fabricated or not based on a genuine experience.
  • It contains unlawful threats, hate, harassment, exploitation or other illegal content.
  • It exposes personal data, confidential information or intellectual property without a lawful basis.
  • It is spam, unrelated advertising, impersonation, malware or manipulation.
  • The author requests editing or deletion of their own content.

Disagreement with the rating, criticism of service, a factual dispute between the parties or the merchant’s inability to identify a reviewer is not by itself a reason to remove a review.

How to submit a sufficiently precise notice

  1. Identify the exact review or content, preferably by its permanent URL or reference.
  2. Select the applicable rule or explain why the content is considered illegal.
  3. Describe the relevant facts and provide supporting material that can lawfully be shared.
  4. Provide contact details and confirm that the report is submitted in good faith.

Reports may be submitted through the available report form or to tichy@eurion.sk.

AI and automated assistance

Automated tools may detect spam patterns, classify a report, identify personal data or prepare a recommendation. They do not make the final decision to remove, hide or restore a review. A trained human reviewer assesses the context and the published rules.

Automated indicators are recorded where used. The reviewer and reporting party may request human review through the appeal process.

Decision process and audit trail

  1. The report is logged with the reporter, time, grounds and evidence.
  2. The content remains public unless a temporary restriction is necessary for serious risk.
  3. A human moderator reviews the content, evidence, provenance and relevant rule.
  4. Euro.Reviews records the decision, rule applied, reason, reviewer identity and time.
  5. Affected parties receive a clear statement of reasons where contact details and law permit.

Possible outcomes include no action, a request to edit, removal of only an attachment or personal data, a warning label, temporary restriction, permanent removal, restoration or account-level measures for repeated abuse.

Appeals

The author, the reporting party and another recipient directly affected by a moderation decision may appeal electronically and free of charge for six months after notification of the decision.

  • The appeal should identify the decision and explain why the rule was applied incorrectly or what new evidence is available.
  • A human reviewer who was not the sole maker of the original decision should assess the appeal where practicable.
  • An appeal is decided without undue delay and without discrimination or commercial influence.
  • An unfounded restriction is reversed promptly and the affected parties are informed.

Where applicable, parties may also use certified out-of-court dispute settlement or contact the competent Digital Services Coordinator. Statutory rights to seek judicial protection remain unaffected.

Misuse and transparency

Repeated manifestly unfounded reports, intimidation of reviewers, fabricated evidence or coordinated manipulation may lead to warnings, temporary limits or account suspension after an individual assessment.

Euro.Reviews maintains moderation statistics and publishes transparency information where required by applicable law, including the use of automated tools and the number and outcome of reports and appeals.
